The perfect next step in photography. Whether you’re upgrading from your first DSLR, your smartphone or a compact camera – the EOS R10 simply offers you so much more.
With its fast continuous shooting at 15 fps with a mechanical shutter and up to 23 fps with an electronic shutter, it reliably captures fleeting moments. Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with deep learning utilises advanced subject recognition for people, animals and vehicles, covering 100% of the sensor area for focusing and tracking subjects. Exceptional 4K footage can be recorded beyond the usual maximum recording time of 30 minutes using 4K 30p via oversampling of the 6K sensor data, and 4K 60p with crop is available for smooth slow-motion effects.
Greater sharpness
The EOS R10 is equipped with the renowned Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system, programmed with deep-learning AI technology for advanced subject recognition. It is fast, precise and incredibly sensitive in low light – even in situations lit only by moonlight.
Experience a whole new kind of autofocus
The EOS R10 can recognise people, vehicles and animals – such as cats, dogs and birds – and track them as they move within the frame. Even when they’re moving very quickly, the result is razor-sharp.
When photographing people, the EOS R10 focuses on the subject’s eyes – the ‘windows to the soul’. If the eyes aren’t visible, the face is tracked instead. If your subject turns away for a moment, the camera focuses on the head, and if that isn’t recognisable, the focus shifts to the body.
More speed
React intuitively and capture fleeting moments with fast continuous shooting – ideal for wildlife and sports photography. The EOS R10 can shoot RAW, JPEG or HEIF images at up to 15 frames per second (or 23 fps with the electronic shutter). The camera tracks the subject across the entire frame and continuously adjusts focus and exposure to the changing scene.
Capture fractions of a second
In RAW Burst mode, photos can be taken at up to 30 fps with a 75% crop. These images are then saved in a video file for clear and easy organisation. Individual images can later be extracted from this using our free (DPP) software. If PreRec is enabled in the camera menu, the EOS R10 starts recording 0.5 seconds before the shutter button is pressed – so you always capture the perfect moment.
Fast response
The camera also responds quickly to your inputs, giving you a significant advantage when you want to capture that one decisive moment. The DIGIC X processor ensures high responsiveness, minimising viewfinder lag and blackout so you’re always connected to your subject.
Greater flexibility
Whether you’re shooting photos, videos or a mix of both, the EOS R10 always delivers outstanding image quality. Weighing just approx. 429 g, it’s incredibly portable, so you can take it with you wherever you go.
The perfect balance
A 24.2-megapixel sensor strikes the ideal balance between detail, speed and low-light performance. The maximum sensitivity of ISO 32,000 (expandable to ISO 51,200) ensures greater detail and less noise when shooting in the dark. There is also a built-in flash to assist you when needed.
4K that exceeds your expectations
The EOS R10 captures exceptional 4K footage that looks superb on UHD displays and allows for cropping without any loss of quality when editing Full HD projects. Filmmakers can choose between 4K/60p, for smooth playback of moving subjects or for slow-motion effects, and 4K/30p, which is generated by oversampling the 6K data from the camera’s 24.2-megapixel sensor. You have to see the results to believe them.
Extremely smooth motion
When shooting in Full HD mode, frame rates of up to 120 fps can be used, revealing even more detail in the movement of your subjects. And for scenes that move slowly, the ability to create impressive 4K and Full HD time-lapse videos in-camera gives you even more creative possibilities.
Greater comfort and user-friendliness
From the moment you pick up the EOS R10, you’ll feel connected to it, as if it were an extension of your creative spirit. The buttons and dials sit intuitively under your fingers and thumbs, and the camera’s electronic viewfinder (EVF) offers a clear and precise view of your subject.
The APS-C advantage
The camera is equipped with an APS-C sensor. Combined with your lens, this offers 1.6 times more telephoto reach than the same focal length on a full-frame camera. This allows you to bring your subjects much closer for impressive shots of wildlife and action.
More connectivity options
The EOS R10 can connect wirelessly to your smartphone, allowing you to quickly share your creativity with friends and followers. You can use it to post on social media, send video clips to friends and upload images to cloud accounts so they’re ready and waiting when you get home.
EF-EOS lens adapter
The standard EF-EOS R lens adapter allows EF-S and EF lenses to be used seamlessly with cameras in the EOS R system. So if you already own EF-S or EF lenses, you can easily invest in the EOS R system, safe in the knowledge that your existing lenses will perform as expected.
For the long term
The EF-EOS R adapter is built to meet professional standards, featuring a metal bayonet mount on both sides. It is protected against dust and splashes, so you can keep shooting even in adverse weather conditions.
Designed for performance
You can expect your lenses to perform just as they would with an EOS DSLR. The adapter guarantees the same outstanding performance and top-quality results.
