The Canon EOS R5 MARK II is equipped with a powerful 45-megapixel BSI stacked CMOS sensor, the new Action Detection AF for superb shots of football, basketball and volleyball, and neural noise reduction for RAW images. But that’s by no means all this camera has to offer! With the EOS R5 MARK II, you can shoot up to 30 frames per second, meaning there’s no blackout with the electronic shutter. If you prefer to use the mechanical shutter, you can shoot up to 12 frames per second. You’ll also recognise many features from the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, which are also found in the EOS R5 Mark II. You can expect tried-and-tested features combined with exciting innovations, creating a unique blend.

Exceptional performance for dynamic subjects

The EOS R5 Mark II’s Dual Pixel Intelligent AF and Eye Control AF set entirely new standards. Dynamic subjects are focused on with razor-sharp precision, even if they are briefly obscured. The ‘Action Priority’ mode recognises players in football, basketball and volleyball and shifts the active AF area in response to specific actions, such as a shot on goal following a quick pass.

The EOS R5 Mark II utilises the full width of the sensor to capture sensational 8K videos – rich in detail and offering plenty of cropping options during post-production. 8K 60p Light RAW captures dynamic subjects with smooth motion. The 14-bit colour depth offers subtle gradations and a wide dynamic range. With the EOS R5 Mark II’s dual recording function, you can simultaneously capture 33.2-megapixel (16:9) photos at 7.5 fps and Full HD videos.

With the Canon EOS R5 Mark II, photos and videos can also be transferred to clients faster and more reliably than ever before – wirelessly via Wi-Fi 6E*1 or via a USB cable. A connection via 2.5 G BASE-T Ethernet can also be established using the optional battery grip.
