The Canon Speedlite EL 1 (Ver. 2) is Canon’s latest professional hot-shoe flash unit with E‑TTL II / E‑TTL automatic flash control. It offers a high guide number, fast recycling times, precise control and weather-sealed construction on a par with L-series lenses.
With the LP-EL lithium-ion battery, flash recharge times of approx. 0.1–0.9 seconds are possible. Depending on usage, up to approx. 335 full-power flashes are possible – and when using an external battery pack, up to 2,345 flashes are possible. The unit also features an active cooling system with a fan.
