With GF lenses, photographers can achieve image quality of the very highest standard and express their creativity like never before. They are designed specifically for the large image sensor of the GFX medium-format system, which is 1.7 times larger than a 35mm sensor (full-frame sensor). The lenses guarantee very high resolution and excellent colour reproduction. The result is images that capture the unique atmosphere of the moment the shutter is released in pictures that appear almost three-dimensional.

High resolution

Like all GF lenses, the new Fujifilm 45 mm f/2.8 GF R WR achieves extremely high optical performance, which will also meet the demands of the higher megapixel resolution of future camera generations. The optical design comprises eleven elements in eight groups, including one aspherical lens and two ED glass elements, which effectively minimise optical aberrations.

The focusing group consists of six elements that move simultaneously during focusing, thus guaranteeing consistently high image quality at every shooting distance.

The Nano GI coating prevents stray light and reflections inside the lens caused by obliquely incident light.

Compact and lightweight design

Despite its high optical performance, the Fujifilm 45 mm f/2.8 GF R WR is surprisingly handy. It weighs just 490 grams and is very compact, measuring 84 mm x 88 mm (diameter x length).

Splash- and dust-proof

The new GF lens is optimally designed to withstand the rigours of professional use and can be used without hesitation even in bad weather. The robust barrel is weather-sealed at ten points, making the 45 mm f/2.8 GF R WR resistant to splash water and dust. Intuitive operation The aperture ring features a C position (Command Dial mode). When selected, the aperture value is adjusted using the control dial on the camera. To prevent accidental adjustment of the aperture settings, the ring can be locked in the A (Auto) and C positions.
