This compact and lightweight 18mm XF lens (35mm equivalent: 27mm) is extremely versatile. It delivers high-resolution images right to the edges of the frame. The lens features ED glass elements and other advanced optical components, whose surfaces have been meticulously polished and treated with a Super EBC coating. The high-quality metal barrel is fitted with a precision-machined aperture ring, allowing intuitive adjustment of aperture values in 1/3-stop increments. The special design of the aperture blades enables an excellent bokeh effect. The blades are curved, resulting in an almost circular aperture opening at all aperture settings. The edges of the blades have been rounded, which contributes to a sharper image.

The FUJIFILM X-mount takes full advantage of the benefits of a mirrorless design. The short flange focal distance of just 17.7 mm enables high resolution across the entire image area.
