It offers a focal length range of 70 to 300 mm (equivalent to 107 to 457 mm in 35 mm format) to capture distant or small subjects in full frame. A fast autofocus motor, a 5.5-stop optical image stabiliser and a weather-resistant body ensure perfect shots in a wide range of photographic situations.
With the FUJINON XF1.4X TC WR and FUJINON XF2X TC WR teleconverters, the reach of the new telephoto zoom lens can be extended to 600 mm (equivalent to 914 mm full-frame). Even distant subjects appear close up and can be photographed in close-up.

Wide zoom range in a compact body
The XF70-300mmF4-5.6 is the ideal choice for photographing subjects from a great distance. People or animals can be brought into the frame in close-up even from a long way off. This allows you to capture brilliant images in many everyday and memorable moments. The optical design comprises 17 elements in 12 groups, including one aspherical lens and two ED elements to minimise optical aberrations.
Despite its wide focal length range and high image quality, the new telephoto zoom lens is surprisingly compact and lightweight, measuring 132.5 mm in length, 75 mm in diameter and weighing just 580 grams. The XF70-300mmF4-5.6 telephoto zoom lens is therefore the ideal complement to the XF16-80mmF4 R OIS WR standard zoom lens. Together, these two handy lenses offer a comprehensive zoom range from 24 mm to 457 mm (35 mm equivalent), yet are significantly lighter and more compact than equivalent 35 mm lenses.

Compatible with 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters
The zoom range of the XF70-300mmF4-5.6 can be extended by 1.4x or 2.0x using the FUJINON XF1.4X TC WR and FUJINON XF2X TC WR teleconverters, without compromising the performance of the phase-detection AF. The maximum focal length is therefore 630 mm or 914 mm (35mm equivalent). The maximum aperture is reduced by 1.4 and 2.0 stops respectively.

Image stabilisation over 5.5 EV stops
The optical image stabiliser (OIS) of the XF70-300mmF4-5.6 enables sharp handheld shots even at long focal lengths and in low light. This effectively compensates for camera shake caused by slower shutter speeds over 5.5 EV stops.
When the lens is used on cameras with built-in five-axis image stabilisation (IBIS), such as the FUJIFILM X-T4 or FUJIFILM X-S10, even greater stabilisation is achieved. The combination of both systems not only compensates for typical camera shake that occurs when taking photographs, but also for linear movements, such as those caused by panning or tilting the camera.

Fast and quiet autofocus
The autofocus of the XF70-300mmF4-5.6 is based on a fast and quiet linear motor that works perfectly in harmony with the advanced AF system of the X Series cameras.

Impressive close-ups
With a minimum focusing distance of just 83 cm, the XF70-300mmF4-5.6 enables impressive close-ups with a reproduction ratio of 1:2 (equivalent to 35mm). In relation to the APS-C format, a 0.33x magnification is achieved. The zoom lens is therefore ideal for filling the frame with smaller subjects, such as flower blossoms. When used in conjunction with the XF2X TC WR teleconverter, the magnification doubles to 0.66x, enabling macro shots with a reproduction ratio of 1:1 (equivalent to 35mm).

Weather-sealed design
Ten seals protect the interior from moisture and dust and ensure that the lens remains operational even in freezing temperatures down to minus 10 degrees Celsius.
