  The HOYA Variable Density Filter 3-400 has a neutral density range from ND3 (1.5 f-stops) to ND400 (8+ f-stops), which can be easily adjusted to the desired density by turning the front ring. HOYA Variable Density Filters use high-quality optical glass from HOYA.   ND filters (Neutral Density) appear grey and reduce the amount of light reaching the sensor or film without affecting the colour balance.
