The Velvia 100 (RVP 100) Professional slide film utilises special technologies that enable a finer grain and double the sensitivity. At the same time, it retains the colour saturation and colour rendering of Velvia 50, which have made it the go-to film for landscape and nature photographers. Fujichrome Velvia 50 has been produced unchanged since 1990 and has been popular with professionals and ambitious amateurs alike ever since. Since then, photographers have been calling for a higher-sensitivity Velvia slide film. Advances in emulsion technology have now made it possible to produce a slide film with the colour characteristics of Velvia 50, offering twice the sensitivity with a finer grain. This generation of Velvia 100 slide film is therefore designed not only to appeal to photographers who expect the distinctive colour saturation typical of Velvia, but also to offer them a product that incorporates the latest state-of-the-art technology
