The X-T50 features a high-resolution 40.2-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor, an X-Processor 5*1 and five-axis image stabilisation offering up to seven stops of compensation*2. Despite these advanced features, it weighs only approx. 438 grams*3, making it one of the lightest models in the X Series. When paired with the new FUJINON XF16-50mmF2.8-4.8 R LM WR standard zoom lens, the camera is suitable for a wide variety of subjects.

High image quality

An advanced algorithm, working in conjunction with the back-illuminated 40.2-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor, ensures fast image processing with high detail sharpness and improved noise performance. The pixel structure has been optimised so that more light reaches the sensor, achieving a standard sensitivity of ISO 125, which was previously only available as an extended sensitivity setting.*4 The X-T50’s electronic shutter enables ultra-short exposure times of up to 1/180,000 of a second, allowing for very precise control of exposure. Even on bright days, you can shoot with fast lenses at wide apertures to achieve attractive depth-of-field effects. The X-T50’s autofocus system offers subject-oriented scene recognition based on artificial intelligence. The algorithm, developed using deep learning technology, not only recognises and tracks human faces and eyes, but also reliably keeps animals, birds, cars, motorbikes, bicycles, aeroplanes, trains, insects and drones*5 in focus. The X-T50 features 20 film simulations, including ‘REAL AC’ for natural colour reproduction and high-contrast tonality. This provides a wide range of image styles that, much like analogue films, can be selected to suit the subject being photographed. The camera also offers a digital teleconverter*6, which utilises the high resolution of the 40.2-megapixel sensor to magnify the subject by a factor of 1.4 or 2.0 at the touch of a button.

Advanced shooting functions

The built-in five-axis image stabiliser allows for exposure times up to seven stops longer. Even in very low light, such as in the evening or at night, sharp images can be captured handheld. The X-T50 can record videos in 6.2K quality at 30 frames per second. Tracking AF tracks moving subjects whilst filming and reliably keeps them in focus. In AUTO mode, the camera automatically recognises the subject and selects the optimal shooting settings. Moving subjects remain in focus without the photographer having to do anything, making it easier to take photos and record videos. The mode can be activated at any time using a selector switch on the top of the camera body.

Modern product design

The design of the camera body has been further developed and optimised in several respects. Rounded edges and a redesigned grip ensure comfortable and straightforward handling. A new feature is the Film Simulation dial on the top of the camera. This allows you to switch intuitively between the different Film Simulation modes depending on the subject or scene, whether you’re taking photos or filming. The camera has a built-in flash. The flash output automatically adjusts to suit the subject. Dark scenes or backlit portraits are illuminated perfectly. The tilting LCD monitor, with 1.84 million pixels, provides a precise preview and makes it easier to take photos from unusual angles. The shape of the handgrip and the layout of the rear controls have been redesigned to make taking photos and filming even more comfortable
