The Hawke Nature-Trek 10x42 is a compact, bright pair of binoculars designed for nature, birdwatching and outdoor observation. It offers a higher 10x magnification combined with good light transmission thanks to its 42 mm objective lenses, making it particularly suitable for detailed observation at medium to long distances.
The optics are based on BAK-4 roof prisms and fully multi-coated (FMC) lenses. This produces a bright, high-contrast and true-to-colour image with good sharpness. The 10x magnification allows for greater detail recognition, but requires a slightly steadier hand than lower magnifications.
The body is made of lightweight, robust polycarbonate with a non-slip rubber armouring. It is waterproof, nitrogen-filled and thus reliably protected against internal fogging. The design is tailored for outdoor use in changing weather conditions.
A central focusing wheel ensures quick focusing, whilst rotating eyecups are also suitable for spectacle wearers. Despite the higher magnification, the device remains compact enough for travel and longer trips.
