The Hawke Nature-Trek 8x42 is a versatile pair of binoculars for nature watching, birdwatching, travel and outdoor use. It features a classic 8x42 format, renowned for its excellent light transmission, steady image and comfortable handling.

With a 42 mm objective lens diameter, it gathers sufficient light for observations at twilight or under cloudy skies, whilst the 8x magnification provides a stable, easily controllable image without significant shake. This makes it a very well-balanced all-round configuration for mobile use.

The optical design is based on BAK-4 roof prisms and fully multi-coated (FMC) lenses. These ensure high light transmission, clear contours and natural colour reproduction. The field of view is generous, making it easy to track moving objects.

The housing consists of a lightweight, robust polycarbonate body with a non-slip rubber armouring. It is waterproof, nitrogen-filled and thus protected against internal fogging. The design is engineered for long-lasting durability and outdoor use.

A central focusing wheel allows for quick focusing, whilst twist-up eyecups are also suitable for spectacle wearers. Overall, the 8x42 model is the brightest and most robust variant in the Nature Trek series.
