In accordance with the Micro Four Thirds system standard, the LUMIX G VARIO 14–140 mm / F3.5–5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-FS14140) a wide and long zoom range of 14–140 mm (35 mm equivalent: 28–280 mm), making it suitable for a wide range of shooting situations. At the same time, it features an elegantly compact and lightweight design. This extremely versatile and portable lens is convenient for bringing subjects closer and capturing impressive portraits with a beautifully blurred background.
The lens system consists of 14 elements in 12 groups and is equipped with three aspherical lenses and two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses to achieve dramatic image reduction despite the powerful 10x optical zoom, whilst minimising distortion and chromatic aberrations.
POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilisation) offers twice the correction performance of MEGA O.I.S. This is particularly effective for minor camera shake caused by pressing the shutter button or when taking night shots with a slow shutter speed. This significantly improves the quality of night-time or indoor shots where a flash cannot be used, or where the flash is not used so as not to spoil the atmosphere. This results in beautiful photos in situations that were previously characterised by blurring.
Featuring an internal focusing system and a stepper motor, the LUMIX G VARIO 14-140 mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-FS14140) enables smooth, quiet operation with the high-speed, high-precision contrast AF system for both stills and video recording. Furthermore, this model is compatible with sensor-shift at up to 240 fps to make optimal use of cameras with extremely fast autofocus, such as the DMC-GH3 and the new DMC-G6.
The LUMIX G VARIO 14-140 mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-FS14140) features a highly reliable metal mount and multi-coated lens elements that minimise artefacts. The seven aperture blades give the aperture a circular shape and produce a soft bokeh effect in out-of-focus areas when shooting at longer focal lengths.
