The LUMIX S PRO 16-35 mm F4 is a versatile wide-angle lens that delivers high-resolution images despite its compact, lightweight body. It excels in both still photography and video recording.
With twelve elements in nine groups, the use of three aspherical lenses, one ED lens and one UHR lens, as well as optimal alignment, high MTF performance is achieved in a compact, lightweight design. The lens is characterised by breathtakingly high resolution towards the outer edges even at wide apertures, as well as beautiful bokeh that suppresses unwanted lines and vignetting.
A dual-magnet linear motor is integrated for the AF actuator. Despite its small size, it delivers high performance and achieves a high-speed sensor drive of up to 480 updates per second. This enables fast, high-precision autofocus, ensuring users never miss a shot. The use of a focus coupling mechanism enables instant AF/MF switching as well as precise manual focusing.
The LUMIX S PRO 16-35 mm F4 lens stands out in video recording thanks to a mechanism that suppresses focus breathing, which has previously been a serious problem with interchangeable lenses for still photography.
The robust dust-, splash- and frost-resistant* design withstands use in harsh conditions at temperatures as low as minus ten degrees. *Dust- and splash-proof does not guarantee that no damage will occur if the lens comes into direct contact with dust or water.
