Peak Design’s Everyday Sling bags let you carry not only your camera but also everything else you need in a practical and stylish way – they’re compact and reliable companions on a photography trip, but work just as well as a shoulder bag for everyday use. With the ‘update’ of the Everyday Line to version 2 (V2), the range has been given a fresh new look. The medium-sized Everyday Sling, with a 6-litre capacity, is ideal for most photography and everyday uses. It’s also spacious enough to hold your camera and several lenses, accessories or a drone.

The bag’s design centres on a spacious main compartment. It offers space for a camera (DSLM or SLR) with a short lens attached and two further larger lenses. If the included FlexFold divider (see below for more details) is folded out to act as a ‘shelf’ instead, two fixed-focal-length lenses can be ‘stacked’ alongside a large zoom lens. You can, of course, remove the FlexFold dividers entirely and then use the bag for all sorts of things – so this professional camera bag adapts perfectly to your everyday needs. On the side facing the body, there is a flat slip pocket for tablets with an 11-inch screen. On the inside of the lid flap, there’s also a small, elongated compartment, which is particularly handy for stowing cables or the Cord-Hook straps. Of course, there’s also a slip pocket on the outside, where you can store items such as your smartphone or a wallet.

Hip bag or shoulder bag – the choice is yours!

Made from robust, waterproof nylon, the bag can be carried in a variety of ways. When worn as a shoulder bag, the Everyday Sling 6L sits comfortably against your body. A padded shoulder strap with swivel joints ensures a perfect fit, whilst the length can be adjusted as required using the tried-and-tested Peak Design quick-release fastener. Thanks to a stylish carabiner clip made from anodised aluminium, the padded section of the strap can be unclipped and separated from the shoulder strap. Securely clipped into the retaining loop, the bag instantly transforms into a bum bag, with the strap ends stowed away in the pouch.

FlexFold dividers – clever folding design for customisation

Almost a trademark of Peak Design: unlike other bags, the Everydays can be organised and customised with even greater flexibility. The secret behind this: the FlexFold dividers! The developers at Peak Design have based the concept on Japanese origami techniques. With this innovative design featuring two layers of fabric, the single divider isn’t just easy to fold, but can also be unfolded in two ways: one layer of the divider can be folded down, whilst the other remains unfolded. This gives you a sort of shelf with a dividing shelf. The divider can support a long lens whilst simultaneously separating two lenses stacked on top of each other. This results in a wide range of storage options, making the Everyday Sling surprisingly spacious despite its compact dimensions.

Many features optimise the bag for photographic use and enhance its practicality in everyday life. Among the Peak Design Essentials is the sturdy retention loop for a Capture Clip, which allows the camera to be securely clipped to the outside of the bag. In addition, there are two loops at the base of the bag. The two included straps for the Cord Hook system can be attached here if you wish to carry a tripod on the outside. Water-repellent DWR treatment and water-resistant zips with flaps and safety tabs make the bag suitable for harsh environments, whilst the soft cotton-blend fabric lining and anodised aluminium hardware give it a high-quality feel.
