The Travel Backpack 30L is similar in construction and design to its ‘big brother’ with a 45-litre capacity, but is slightly narrower and more compact. This makes it ideal for weekend getaways and handy enough to serve as a day rucksack too. In short – an ideal combination of flexibility and capacity. It’s also better suited as hand luggage – and with sturdy carrying handles at the top and bottom, it’s always firmly in hand.

Space for up to three packing cubes

Nevertheless, the main compartment offers space for three packing cubes – or a medium camera cube and a packing cube (the 45L version offers additional space for extras such as a tech or wash pouch with this configuration). The entire main compartment is accessible via the large back flap with a wraparound zip – the best way to pack the rucksack like a suitcase and far more organised than with conventional rucksacks accessed from top to bottom. The position of the lid against your back also acts as a built-in anti-theft feature when you’re on the move.

Compression zip to adjust the pack volume

To offer even more flexibility, the Travel Backpack features a compression zip at the top. This allows you to vary the volume between 27 and 33 litres. On the inside of the backpack, there are press studs that keep the backpack folded flat.

Comfortable fit: ergonomic shoulder straps with swivel joints

The Backpack 30L features ergonomic shoulder straps with swivel joints, ensuring an optimal fit against the body. A short chest strap is also included, allowing the two shoulder straps to be connected across the chest, which keeps the rucksack even more securely in place. A length-adjustable hip belt is also available as a separate accessory. This transfers part of the backpack’s weight to the hip area to further relieve the strain on your back. If you want to carry the backpack by hand, stow it away or attach it to a suitcase trolley, the shoulder straps won’t get in the way: thanks to a fold-away back panel, they simply tuck away underneath and remain secured with sewn-in magnetic strips.

Versatile extra compartments

Got a water bottle or a tripod with you? There are large slots for these on each side. The laptop compartment in the lid flap has space for devices up to 15 inches. At the very top, there is a handy zipped pocket with compartments for sunglasses, headphones and similar items that need to be quickly to hand without rummaging through the rest of your luggage. More luggage than planned? No need to worry! The included Cord-Hook carrying straps give the bag extra carrying capacity: simply clip the adjustable carrying loops into place at the sides. Tripods and other items can thus be securely attached to the outside and carried along. When you’re not using this feature, the straps can be stowed away in a hidden storage compartment.
